Robert T. Kiyosaki is best known as the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. This is the #1 personal finance book of all time, which has challenged and changed the way tens of millions of people around the world think about money. His book titles hold four of the top ten spots on Nielsen Bookscan List's Life-to-Date Sales from 2001-2008 alone. In addition, Robert has been featured on shows such as Larry King Live, Oprah, The Doctors, Bloomberg International Television and CNN. Educational Entrepreneur, co-creator of the CASHFLOW® board game, founder of the financial education-based Rich Dad Company and author of New York Times Bestsellers: Rich Dad Poor Dad, Conspiracy of The Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money, and Unfair Advantage. His point of view is that the old advice of "get a good job, save money, get out of debt, invest for the long term, and diversify" is bad (both obsolete and flawed) advice. This challenges the status quo. His assertion that "your house is not an asset" has stirred controversy, but it has been proven to be accurate in our economy's current financial crisis. In 2006, Robert teamed up with Donald Trump to co-author Why We Want You To Be Rich—Two Men—One Message. It debuted at #1 on The New York Times Best Seller list. Robert wrote the column, Why the Rich Are Getting Richer, for Yahoo! Finance. And he was featured in TIME Magazine's popular "10 Questions" column. Here, he answered questions ranging from investing with few resources to the impact of education on one's financial success. Robert's latest book, Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money, pioneered online book publishing as a free, online and interactive book with contributions from 1.1 million readers in over 167 countries. Frequent updates and postings appear on ConspiracyOfTheRich.com. And he recently completed a mini-documentary, Shooting the Sacred Cows of Money. This centers on debunking the destructive myths about money and teaching the five, essential elements of financial education.

In today’s episode economist Steve Keen explains why Australia is in a property bubble and what you can do about it. Is there currently an Australian property bubble? Some experts say that there is and that prices in property could fall by as much as 40% or more. While other experts say that we aren’t. Today, I have with me an expert in the Australian property bubble, an economist, Steve Keen, who understands this issue like nobody else. I was really excited to get him on and to understand why he believes that we are in a property bubble in Australia, to talk through some of the statistics and to also really get an idea of is this bubble likely to pop in the near future and what can we do about it as investors. I’m really excited to have this interview today on whether or not Australia is experiencing a property bubble and what we can do about it. I do want to apologize ahead of time for the quality of the recording. The internet at my house wasn’t performing very well when we did this and we’re talking to each other on the opposite sides of the world. Unfortunately, there are some areas where the audio cuts out or it’s not too strong and the video can be quite pixelated. So just beware of that, I do apologize for that, but there wasn’t much I could do. But this definitely an interview worth watching. ------------------------------------------- http://onproperty.com.au/372 - View the full transcription and audio version of this episode. http://onproperty.com.au/free - See real positive cash flow property listings

Kira was 19 weeks pregnant when she and her husband, Ken, learned that their son, Ciarlo, had spina bifida. For more: http://fetalsurgery.chop.edu. Spina bifida is a birth defect in which the spinal column doesn’t close completely during development, leaving the spinal cord and surrounding nerves exposed through a hole in the back. The exposure to amniotic fluid in the womb causes progressive damage to the spine which can lead to a variety of issues, including bladder and bowel problems, club feet, paralysis, and weakness or loss of feeling below the location of the opening. Kira and Ken were shocked. Their obstetrician told them right away to go to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), which has extensive experience with prenatal diagnosis and treatment of spina bifida, including fetal surgery, as well as a specialized Spina Bifida Program. A C-section delivery was planned in CHOP’s Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit (SDU). The SDU is the first birthing unit located within a children’s hospital designed for healthy mothers carrying babies with known birth defects who will require immediate care after delivery. A day after he was born, Ciarlo had surgery to repair the hole in his spine. Today, Ciarlo is an intelligent, friendly preschooler who continues to be followed by CHOP’s Spina Bifida Program, where a multidisciplinary team, including pediatric urologists, neurosurgeons and orthopedic specialists, works together to provide the care he needs.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
